Mechanical Design Engineer, AFT Quality

AmazonBellevue, WA
Onsite

About The Position

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) is seeking a mechanical design engineer to conceive, develop, prototype and deploy modular data-collection systems at scale. These systems will be installed in a large variety of environments across the Amazon network, but need to be modular and pluggable to support multiple sensors and configurations. AFT builds and operates software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers that move many billions of units of inventory, employ tens of thousands of people, and ensure that customers get what they want when we promised we would get it to them. We do this by building automated solutions to handle things that technology does well, while relying on people to handle things that humans do well. Our team collaborates with machine learning scientists, fulfillment associates, labeling teams, field engineering and maintenance personnel and with a variety of customers across Amazon worldwide.
