Requirements

2+ years for junior or 4+ years for mid-level mechanical design assignments.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Experience in product design from concept through detailed design, verification, release, and production support.
Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and engineering change control.
Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations across design, manufacturing, analysis, suppliers, and customers.
Hands-on SolidWorks experience is required; provide examples of production-released designs.

Nice To Haves

SolidWorks part, assembly, drawing, and configuration development.
Mechanical component redesign for lower material, tooling, fabrication, and assembly cost.
Sheet metal, weldments, machined parts, piping/fittings, plastics, fasteners, and tolerance stack-ups.
Working knowledge of DFM, GD&T, DFMEA, problem solving, and design validation.

Responsibilities

Create and revise 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering releases.
Develop cost-reduction concepts while maintaining requirements and critical interfaces.
Perform packaging, tolerance, fit, form, function, and manufacturability assessments.
Resolve nonconformities and field issues through root-cause analysis and design revision.
Support design reviews, supplier coordination, prototype evaluation, and validation planning.
