The Mechanical Design Engineer will work in the Mechanical Department of KLA ECI division based in Totowa, NJ. This role involves the design process of the mechanical part of new systems, encompassing conceptual and detailed design using CAD systems (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD), detailed drawings, and design review presentations. The engineer will design mechanical parts for new chemical monitoring or management systems, modules, assemblies, or parts, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering groups and R&D to define and review designs and test plans. Additionally, the role includes creating COs to release new parts, assemblies, systems, and supporting documentation.

Requirements

  • Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; OR Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
  • Strong background in engineering or physical science
  • Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration with other team members

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in design or related study in microfluidic systems and dispensing, material science, spectrophotometry or fiber-optics, mechanical/electrical engineering, physics, or related disciplines
  • Experience in Inventor 3D CAD and AutoCAD software

Responsibilities
