Requirements

  • Associates degree (minimum) from a technical program (electrical/mechanical) using CAD software
  • 4 years working experience as a Drafter/Designer.

Nice To Haves

  • AutoCad Inventor 3D preferred
  • Autodesk Inventor preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Machine G & M code a plus or will be trained.
  • MV Switchgear preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience and high proficiency working with AutoCad 2D (AutoCad Inventor 3D preferred) to create mechanical designs that meet various standards (ANSI, IEEE), codes (NEC, Local, etc) and customer requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing 3d software creating and revising mechanical assemblies including assembly and part drawings - Autodesk Inventor preferred.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, customer specifications and manufacturing capabilities including sheet metal and bus work.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure mechanical and electrical integration of components.
  • Understanding and utilizing switchgear knowledge in electrical safety, compartmentalization, and clearance standards - MV Switchgear preferred.
  • Assist other engineering personnel when required to meet delivery objectives.
