DSN is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer – Engines Product Support for an onsite role in Lafayette, IN. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early‑career mechanical engineer to gain hands‑on experience supporting the G3600/C280 engine product line, resolving factory issues, driving Built‑In‑Quality (BIQ) initiatives, and implementing design improvements within a fast‑paced production environment.
Requirements
- 1 -4 years of mechanical design experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; new graduates are welcome to apply OR Associate degree +4yrs of experience
- Mechanical/Engine knowledge with engines, automotive, farming equipment.
- Mechanical design experience
- CREO/3D CAD
- Teamcenter Visualization
- Strong communication skills
- Works well in a collaborative team
Responsibilities
- Engineering support for G3600/C280 Engine Current Product
- Resolving factory issues. Built in Quality projects
- Review engine orders: update to improved design
- Collaborate with designs request to approve and implement changes into production
