Mechanical Department Manager
About The Position
A multi-discipline consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical Department Manager for their growing team in Windsor, Connecticut. This role involves managing the Mechanical Engineering department, overseeing staff workload, coordinating projects with MEP and other teams, and ensuring timely completion. The manager will also be responsible for reviewing and approving scopes, budgets, and schedules, assessing project and financial performance, and preparing construction drawings and specifications. Additionally, the role requires building and maintaining client relationships, providing technical leadership, production/scheduling, quality control, and cost proposals, assisting with business development, facilitating construction administration meetings, and reviewing contractor submittals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 18+ years of overall MEP experience with a strong focus on HVAC projects
- 8+ years of project management experience
- Prior experience working with local municipalities/government agencies
- Experience managing Mechanical/HVAC staff at various levels
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
