About The Position

The Mechanical Definition Engineer is a member of the Completions Engineering organization, translating customer sales and program requirements into engineering deliverables. The role supports accurate communication, coordination, and execution of aircraft configuration requirements through Build List packages, Completions Tasking and Scheduling (CTS) tasking, requirements tracking, and cross-functional collaboration. It serves as a primary interface among sales, engineering, and downstream operations teams to support aircraft modifications and completions activities. The position works on engineering projects involving critical problems that require major technological advances and extensive related development. It is responsible for engineering projects of major complexity within established scope, makes authoritative technical decisions, applies advanced technical principles, leads innovative ideas, and independently determines methods to optimize technical product, cost, and schedule requirements. The position works under consultative direction, develops standards and guides, and plans investigations in areas where engineering precedents may be lacking.
