Gulfstream•Savannah, GA
•Onsite

About The Position

The Mechanical Definition Engineer is part of the Completions Engineering organization and translates customer sales and program requirements into actionable engineering deliverables. The role coordinates aircraft configuration requirements through Build List packages, Completions Tasking and Scheduling (CTS) tasking, requirements tracking, and collaboration across sales, engineering, and downstream operations teams. It supports the execution of aircraft modifications and completions activities and works on major-complexity engineering projects requiring advanced technical expertise and development. The position is based in Savannah, Georgia, is a first-shift, full-time role, and may require up to 25% travel. The role is responsible for technically complex engineering projects within established scope, making authoritative technical decisions and recommendations, applying advanced engineering principles, and developing innovative approaches. It independently determines methods to optimize technical product, cost, and schedule requirements, works under consultative direction, develops standards and guides, and plans investigations in areas where engineering precedents may be lacking. An advanced engineering degree is preferred. The employee must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
