About The Position

Verto People is recruiting a Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee mechanical equipment and piping installation on a power generation project. Representing the owner, you’ll monitor contractor delivery, review installation activities and help resolve site issues through mechanical completion and handover.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of mechanical and piping construction experience within power or process plants, including five years in supervisory roles.
• At least five years representing an owner and overseeing EPC contractors under lump-sum contracts.
• Practical experience with large rotating equipment, heavy lifts and high-pressure piping.
• Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, B31.1 and B31.3.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field experience.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 30 would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee equipment delivery, positioning, alignment and grouting.
• Monitor piping fabrication, installation and support arrangements.
• Review lifting plans and attend critical equipment lifts.
• Oversee installation of tanks, packaged equipment and auxiliary systems.
• Review test packages and monitor pressure testing alongside the quality team.
• Check equipment preservation, storage and material traceability.
• Participate in walkdowns and track punch list items through to closure.
