Mechanical Cable Shop Technician - Skiatook
About The Position
This role involves assembling and testing cable assemblies according to job orders. Responsibilities include cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, labeling, and finishing cables, as well as performing various tests to ensure quality. The technician will also handle and store materials, operate a forklift for moving cable reels and components, maintain stock and inventory levels through cycle counting and receiving, and ensure a clean and organized work area. The position requires adherence to all company safety, quality, environmental, and operational procedures, and may involve other duties as assigned.

- Lifting weight up to 50lbs regularly
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous forklift operation experience preferred but not required
- Previous experience in the industry preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test Inbound and Outbound jobs orders
- Cut, strip, crimp, solder, label, and finish cable assemblies using approved tools and procedures
- Perform continuity, insulation resistance, high-potential, resistance, or other required tests
- Handle, move, and store cable reels, connectors, and components to prevent damage
- Follow all company safety, quality, environmental, and operational procedures
- Operate forklift to load/unload reels of cable and components and move reels in the yard
- Maintain stock and inventory levels through cycle counting and receiving
- Identify and request inventory
- Maintain clean and organized work and shop area
- Perform other duties as assigned
