We are seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to be responsible for assembly of electrical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications. Requirements

  • Proficient at reading/interpreting fabrication drawings
  • Proficient with various handheld tools, drill presses, light fabrication tools, hose assembly equipment and torque wrenches
  • Experience using overhead crane, forklift, material handling equipment
  • Basic computer skills; materials management systems preferred
  • Self-starter ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong communication, organizational, time management, and basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem, produce a new concept and or idea
  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience or; A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret and follow engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble product.
  • Close tolerance mechanical adjusting, fitting and alignment to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified. Rework and/or repair assembled equipment.
  • Perform cutting, grinding, and material preparation per drawing or specification.
  • Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using precision measuring instruments.
