About The Position
The Mechanical Assembler I is responsible for the assembly and/or fabrication of mechanical parts, pieces or products according to the required specifications within the assigned area of production. The schedule is 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- High School or Equivalent
- Requires 1-2 years related experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions and understand electrical diagrams
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Must pass an assembly test
- Basic knowledge for proper use of hand tools: tape measure, drills, pneumatic air tools
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
- Utilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gun
- Maintain inventory of product in work stations
- Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
