About The Position

Second Shift Mechanical Assembler. Hours: 2pm - 11:30pm. This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations. You may only access such information if you are a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. government.

Requirements

  • Typically requires one year of experience or less.
  • Ability to work under a microscope for long periods of time.
  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to multitask.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of IPC-610 standards.
  • 1+ years in a Mechanical Assembly position or similar position.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
  • Communicate effectively to leadership regarding issues/status/performance during a given shift.
  • Maintains an effective relationship with Quality and Engineering teams to ensure production goals are met.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying instructions and following blueprint specifications.
  • Performing a variety of inspections to ensure that it meets/exceeds IPC standards.
  • Performing pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
  • Operate Production equipment (Conformal Coat, Plasma Cleaners, Cure Ovens, etc.).
  • Able to perform all tasks in the Mechanical Assembly operation (Wash, Bake, Underfill, Masking, curing, demasking and cleaning/touch up).
  • Apply underfill and masking material according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Prepare PCBs for coating by masking connectors, components, and keep-out areas according to work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Apply conformal coatings using automatic coating equipment, Global Precision Dispensing Systems (GPD).
  • Inspect coated assemblies for coverage, thickness, uniformity, and defects using microscopes and other inspection tools.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain conformal coating machines, spray equipment, curing ovens, and related tools.
  • Follow production schedules, traveler documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform rework or touch-up operations to correct coating issues without damaging the PCB or components.
  • Ensure all handling and processing of coatings and/or other material comply with safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and chemical handling policies.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process issues, suggesting improvements, and assisting in process validations when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
