Mechanical assembly is the process of putting together components on an assembly line. In addition to this, it also refers to an assembled product or part made in this way. In either case, mechanical assembly carries the connotation of putting parts together, making a complete product to perform a function. The Mechanical Assembler performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. They determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. They also make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
