About The Position

This is a Day Shift Position with shift times from 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Fridays may require mandatory overtime depending on production needs. The role involves following and understanding standard work, training guides, and acceptance criteria to meet customer and QMS requirements. Responsibilities include operating and performing safe operations inspections on cranes, locating and printing applicable drawings, and reading and understanding drawings to assemble product. The position requires the ability to torque and mark joints to appropriate values, perform moderate to semi-complex assembly/testing functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment. Machine and equipment may include saws, drill presses, pipe bevellers, etc. The role also involves setting up and performing leak tests, assisting in locating leaks in plumbing, and assisting in pressure testing pipe to requirements. Reporting inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product, or equipment is crucial. Maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management is expected. The position helps the company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
  • Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills. -OR- An acceptable combination of education and experience
  • This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree
  • Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs
  • Stooping, crouching, kneeling and bending
  • Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities
  • Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed.
  • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

  • Able to inspect and operate manlifts.
  • Able to cut, bend, and assemble stainless lines.
  • Must be able to operate and download/verify leak testing equipment.
  • Able to operate pressure testing units independently.
  • Able to operate saw processes independently (where applicable).
