About The Position

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be our go-to for driving continuous improvement in the operations and assembly process. This role provides on-the-job training (OJT) and all work is performed in explosive handling areas. You will work under direct supervision, weighing and pressing inert & energetic materials, setting up and using an analytical balance, and performing inert assembly operations. Tasks include minor cabling, potting, tinning, and assembly work, as well as setting up and using a powder press. Some basic soldering experience is beneficial. You will perform various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies, using visual aids, drawings, and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, re-work, or re-assemble units. You will receive detailed instruction on new assignments and install sub-assemblies. Proficient dexterity is required to ensure safe handling of explosive devices. If required, you will attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements (e.g., JSTD). Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Able to work under direct supervision.
Must have the ability to understand, speak, read and write in English.
1 year industry assembly work.
Soldering experience.

Nice To Haves

Some minor set-up capability for specific equipment.
Basic soldering experience.
