About The Position

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be our go-to for driving continuous improvement in operations and the assembly process. This role provides on-the-job training (OJT) and all work is performed in explosive handling areas. You will work under direct supervision, weighing and pressing inert & energetic materials, setting up and using an analytical balance, and performing inert assembly operations. Responsibilities also include minor cabling, potting, tinning, and assembly work, setting up and using a powder press, and some basic soldering experience. You will perform various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies, using visual aids, drawings, and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, re-work, or re-assemble units. You will install sub-assemblies and must display proficient dexterity for the safe handling of explosive devices. If required, you will attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements (e.g., JSTD) and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Able to work under direct supervision.
Must have the ability to understand, speak, read and write in English.
1 year industry assembly work.
Soldering experience.
US citizenship is a requirement for this position due to U.S. Government contractual requirements.
