About The Position

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems according to engineering specifications. You will work with a team of professionals to ensure that the final product meets quality standards and customer requirements. Your attention to detail and ability to work with precision tools and equipment will be essential to the success of the team. You will be expected to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years mechanical repair, or equivalent technical training/certification
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics, job orders and procedure manuals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Ability to maintain good attendance
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to co-workers, management, vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, management, suppliers, and customers
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Skill in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures
  • Ability to use department equipment such as forklift, ladder/scaffold, overhead crane, and power tools

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical assembly work on both basic and intermediate sub and final assemblies according to drawings, written procedures, and bills of materials.
  • Work with other team members to assemble products.
  • Repair and adjust products to match changes to specifications and resolve assembly problems.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Secure tools, materials, and equipment at end of day
