The Mechanical Assembler will contribute to the multinational manufacturing of GF Piping Systems; instrumentation, serving microelectronics, semiconductor, water treatment, chemical processing, food and beverage, building technologies, and life sciences market segments. We are seeking a highly motivated and Mechanical Assembler that assembles or fabricates mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on Valve Assembly/repair/closely related experience
  • Ability to understand and read blueprints and dimensions
  • Fabrication Experience
  • Assembly experience; piping, frames, skids, mechanical equipment
  • Detail orientated
  • Experience with Saws, Drills, Presses, grinders, measuring tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation and tracking tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training, trades school, or an associate’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or related fields is preferred.
  • Actuation experience as a plus
  • Custom manufacturing experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assemble various types of valves (e.g., ball, gate, butterfly, check, and safety relief valves) and actuation packages using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Follow technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Reads, interprets, and follows basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Perform pressure testing, functional testing, and calibration of valves and components to verify performance, leak integrity, and compliance with standards.
  • Use precision tools like gauges, micrometers, and calipers to measure tolerances.
  • Inspect valve components for defects, wear, or damage.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with valves, actuators, or instrumentation.
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble valves and related equipment.
  • Replace defective parts and lubricate mechanical components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Record test results, maintenance activities, and material usage on work orders, field service reports, or digital systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies, including drug and alcohol policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality control, and production teams to improve assembly processes and resolve issues.
  • Train or assist less experienced technicians as needed.
  • Exhibit comfortability in shop or field environments.
