About The Position

This position is responsible for hands-on assembly, testing, and packaging of mechanical systems, equipment, and components in a production assembly line environment. The Assembler will be tasked with assigned quality control, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assembling, and finished product-sub-assembly validation. Ideal candidates will have a high level of mechanical inclination and aptitude, in addition to formal applicable education, skilled certifications, vocational course completion, and past relative experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of wiring or electromechanical assembly experience preferred
  • Vocational or formal applicable education or certifications a plus
  • Skilled and experience in small machine assembly, precision machining measuring tool use, GD&T comprehension and industrial manufacturing environments
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams preferred
  • Ability to read instructions, safely operate equipment, and visually inspect parts
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools
  • Good hand dexterity and grip strength
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical ability, read and comprehend operational instructions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional team environment
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft platforms (Word, Excel....)
  • Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiative, and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, bending, and reaching
  • Maintain constant attendance

Responsibilities

  • Build electromechanical assemblies to print, positioning, and physically mounting components, wiring assemblies per schematics and performing OHM testing to verify compliance, assuring test free movement
  • Interpret electrical, hydraulic schematics and diagrams
  • Plumb, bend and assemble hydraulic tubing and fittings
  • Fit gears, drive couplings and other mechanical assemblies
  • Finish test and packaging final or sub-assembly product
  • Read, understand, and follow engineering and manufacturing documents, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings and work instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams
  • Perform required in-process quality checks and escalate non-conformances as needed
  • Follow work order instructions to safely produce required quantities within specifications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Accurately complete and maintain all required production and quality documentation
  • Operate fork truck and other equipment safely and competently
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements
