About The Position
Advanced Flow Systems Contract Manufacturing is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join their team in Chilliwack, BC. The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for working in a manufacturing environment with a team of assemblers, insulators and other professional trades, assembling large and small components on a variety of projects.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined with experience working with power tools (torque wrench, impact drills, grinders, etc.) and using overhead cranes
- Able to work independently
- Able to communicate effectively and solve problems with team members
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a heavy industrial setting or previous experience doing assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- Tube bending experience an asset
Responsibilities
- Complete mechanical assemblies by reviewing work instructions, blueprints, and hands on training support
- Install parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
- Complete QA validations with assistance from team members
- Perform tasks involving physical labor; operate hand and power tools, wrenching and tightening bolts.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
