About The Position

The Mechanical Assembler I supports assembly and production of high-quality mechanical and electrical components used in data center infrastructure systems. This entry-level role follows established work instructions, uses basic tools, and helps build enclosures, racks, panel assemblies, cable components, and other structures important to data center reliability. The role is suited to a detail-oriented, dependable person committed to safe work practices and learning in a manufacturing environment.

The position involves working in a fast-paced production environment with moderate noise. Employees must be able to stand for 8–10 hours per shift, occasionally move loads up to 35–50 pounds, perform frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and repetitive hand motions, operate hand tools, distinguish color-coded wires or labels when applicable, and walk, push carts, and move materials within the department.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or electrical assembly.
• Familiarity with torque tools, crimpers, wire strippers, or measurement tools.
• Experience reading simple schematics or diagrams.
• Entry-level mechanical or electrical coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, enclosures, and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.
• Read and follow standardized work instructions, drawings, and quality guidelines.
• Prepare parts, hardware, and materials for assembly.
• Perform basic wiring tasks under guidance, including routing cables, attaching connectors, and securing harnesses.
• Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, alignment, and workmanship.
• Label, package, or stage completed work for downstream processes.
• Report defects, material shortages, or equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation following 5S principles.
• Communicate with leads and teammates to help ensure production goals are met.
