About The Position

The Mechanical Assembler III is responsible for the assembly, integration, and validation of complex mechanical and electromechanical systems used in large-scale cooling and infrastructure solutions. This role performs advanced assembly operations involving large form-factor products, mechanical subassemblies, copper tubing and piping systems, valves, fittings, hoses, and some electrical connections. Mechanical Assembler IIIs work within teams of 2-4 technicians to complete complex integrations, large assemblies, and final system builds while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards. Shift 1: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm Shift 2: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in mechanical assembly, industrial assembly, manufacturing, HVAC systems, industrial equipment assembly, cooling systems, electromechanical assembly, or a related field required.
  • Experience assembling large form-factor equipment, complex mechanical systems, or industrial machinery required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, bills of materials, and technical documentation required.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring equipment, and assembly fixtures required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate manufacturing systems and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 10–12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation; mechanical lifting devices and team lifts may be utilized as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with copper tubing, piping systems, valves, fittings, hoses, manifolds, and fluid handling systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience using SmartTorque tools preferred.
  • Experience performing complex mechanical integrations and system-level assemblies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and integrate complex mechanical and electromechanical systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Perform advanced assembly and installation of large form-factor equipment, mechanical subassemblies, frames, enclosures, and integrated cooling systems.
  • Work as part of a team of 2-4 technicians to complete complex product builds, mechanical integrations, and final assembly operations.
  • Install and connect copper tubing, piping systems, valves, fittings, hoses, manifolds, fluid distribution components, and electrical connections.
  • Perform copper tube handling, routing, alignment, and installation while ensuring proper fit, routing, and system integrity.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, bills of materials, and technical documentation to independently execute complex assemblies.
  • Verify torque requirements, critical dimensions, alignment, and workmanship standards throughout the assembly process.
  • Conduct mechanical fit-up, assembly verification, and system integration activities prior to testing and final inspection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly challenges involving component fit, alignment, mechanical interfaces, and installation requirements.
  • Support prototype, pilot, and new product introduction (NPI) builds as required.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Test teams to resolve technical and assembly-related issues.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, precision measuring devices, and lifting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate production records and required manufacturing documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and workmanship.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Adhere to all company safety, quality, environmental, and security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
