About The Position

The San Marcos, TX facility is looking to fill a Mechanical Assembler II Role. You will plan and perform a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly, tests, fabrications, and inspection operations on various products in standard and non-standard environments to maintain flow of work. Working Hours (after the completion of training): 2nd shift hours (3pm-11:30 pm) Monday -Friday. Training hours: 7am-3:30pm for up to 90 days.

Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience
  • 1 or more years of Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams and/or engineering drawings to assemble equipment.
  • 1 or more years of Experience with general hand and/or power tools

Nice To Haves

  • 1 years minimum of relevant machine operation experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality work checks, identifies product defects and records identified defects.
  • Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Utilize hand tools such as drills, torque wrenches, rivet guns, grinders, orbital sanders, and pull motors, for daily assembly tasks.
  • Employ measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and standard rulers, to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Adherence and understanding of blueprints and operation sheets for standard work instructions in assembling products.
  • Adjust equipment based on test results and a thorough understanding of processes and machinery.
  • Conduct tests for oxygen purity and moisture content at various stages of the process, recording gauge readings and test results.
  • Adhere to PPE and cleanroom standards to prevent foreign objects and debris from contaminating products.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Willing and able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a standing position for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Other duties as assigned.
