This role is responsible for meeting quality product standards with no defects and fulfilling customer deadlines and expectations. The position requires compliance with quality systems, participation in cost reduction and continuous improvement plans, and potential involvement in audits. The Mechanical Assembler I will acquire necessary skills and certifications, perform inspections, coating, labeling, boxing, and general preparation for shipment. Responsibilities include checking parts for defects, recording test results, routing products for rework or salvage, and cleaning completed assemblies. The role involves assembling parts according to blueprint specifications and testing parts using various equipment. Fabrication of instrument parts through crimping, staking, and cutting may also be required. Specific trained tasks can include welding, soldering, item testing, inspection, filler, and immersion testing. Maintaining a clean work area and complying with all company rules and regulations, including Environmental Health and Safety, are essential. The position also requires completing assigned tasks within the scope of the job description to support department objectives and develop individual skills, checking work methods for conformance to standards, and reporting work progress and any failures to meet quality standards to leads or supervisors.
