About The Position

This is an entry level position into the Cargo Assembly group. As a Mechanical Assembler I, you will work under the direct supervision of a Manufacturing Team Leader. This position is responsible for performing assembly operations as detailed in the Manufacturing Order and engineering drawing, functional testing of product, and kitting/packaging of hardware for shipment. Individuals must be quality oriented, able to work in a team environment, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. 1st shift hours are Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM.

Requirements

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
This job requires a U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
Operates hand tools, air tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
Maintains inventory of product in workstations.
Performs quality work checks, identifies product defects and records identified defects.
Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Maintains a clean and safe work area.
