Every component our team builds has a purpose. We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler I to join our Ramsey, NJ team. In this hands-on role, you'll build high-quality, precision equipment from the ground up — working from blueprints and technical drawings to assemble components and subassemblies that meet exacting quality standards. Requirements

  • 1+ years of mechanical assembly or comparable hands-on manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed written work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
  • Basic math skills — measurements, tolerances, and conversions
  • Comfortable using hand tools and precision measuring equipment
  • Team-oriented with solid communication skills and a solutions mindset
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or technical training in a related field is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies into precision finished equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and work instructions
  • Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, micrometers)
  • Inspect and verify that completed assemblies meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances
  • Identify, document, and escalate assembly discrepancies or non-conformances
  • Support functional testing and troubleshooting of assembled units
  • Maintain accurate build records, traveler documentation, and assembly logs
  • Keep workstation organized, clean, and compliant with all safety protocols
