About The Position

Under limited supervision, services and repairs golf course equipment, changes fluids, air filters and hydraulics to maintain standard operations.

Working knowledge of the general operation of golf course equipment
Knowledge of preventative maintenance for all golf course equipment
Requires a mechanical ability; ability to use common mechanical tools
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Ability to maintain effective working relationships; excellent customer service skills
Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by three years’ experience in mechanical maintenance and repair work, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Valid SC Driver’s license
Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training; will train

Inspects, troubleshoots, maintains and repairs various golf course maintenance equipment (i.e. mowers/tractors, rollers, etc.)
Communicates and prioritizes needs or problems relating to maintenance or repair of equipment to supervisor
Repairs and adjusts engines and cutting mechanisms on various heavy and light mowing equipment
Ability to grind reels and set appropriate tolerance
Maintains preventative maintenance schedule (i.e. oil, grease, air, gas, etc.)
Assists in parts inventory and maintain a clean and organized workshop; orders supplies and parts as needed
Prepares routine reports and records of maintenance equipment as required
Operates variety of equipment (i.e. hand and power tools, golf carts, backhoe, tractor/mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, spray equipment, sod cutters, dump truck, turf maintenance equipment, mechanic's tools, plumbing tools, electrician's tools, welding tools, torches, etc.)
Cleans equipment and vehicles as necessary
Maintains a clean and safe work environment
Other duties as assigned
