About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic (Level 2) to join their team. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of equipment, including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and potentially large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. The goal is to maintain equipment in the safest and most effective way to minimize downtime. The position offers opportunities to build skills on diverse equipment, develop a career track in service or operations management, and work in a safety-focused environment with a team of people.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.
