Mechanic - Heavy Equipment & Trucks
About The Position
The Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining Company trucks, tools, trailers, and equipment. This role involves performing preventative maintenance and inspections, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and working on a variety of equipment including small engines, pickup trucks, and construction equipment. The Mechanic will also manage day-to-day shop operations, ensuring the shop is clean, safe, and organized. Key duties include prioritizing repairs to keep equipment ready for the field, tracking maintenance and parts needs, ordering parts, and communicating repair status with supervisors and crews. Travel to Company locations and jobsites may be required for repairs and support. The position requires adherence to all Company safety procedures and may involve assisting with other shop and field needs as assigned.
Requirements
- Mechanic or equipment maintenance experience required
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Dependable, organized, and safety-focused
- Basic computer or mobile device skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be willing and able to travel as required
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Able to lift and handle tools, parts, and equipment as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience with trucks, small engines, trailers, and construction equipment preferred
- Shop lead or shop management experience preferred
