About The Position
In this position you will perform various mechanical duties such as replace brakes, alternators, starters, and handle truck tires. Troubleshoot air and electrical systems. You will be able to read and write instructions, specifications, models, make, serial numbers, name parts to be ordered. Have knowledge of suppliers for each piece of equipment. Be able to work for extended periods without supervision. Also, accept responsibility to make repairs in a clean and orderly manner. Able to keep records, keep the shop and equipment in a clean and working condition. Attend maintenance school when needed.
Requirements
- Familiarity with electric and air operated hand tools.
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License.
- Ability to use an electric welder and acetylene torch.
- Possession of own hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to troubleshoot and locate problems so repairs can be made.
