About The Position

This position will work in all aspects of Facility Maintenance, with a primary focus on fleet vehicle and equipment maintenance. The role involves servicing and maintaining fleet vehicles, performing minor repairs on forklifts and other PIVs, and repairing/servicing all landscaping and small engine equipment. A key responsibility is completing preventative maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations for all equipment and coordinating with outside vendors for major equipment repairs. The mechanic will also assist electricians, plumbers, and welders as needed, and may be required to assist with landscaping duties or winter events like salting, shoveling, or plowing. The position may also require working off-shift or overtime during emergencies.

Requirements

High School/GED required
Prior experience with vehicle and/or equipment maintenance required
Understanding of both electric and internal combustion powered equipment
Hydraulics operations
General understanding of vehicle electrical systems
Basic computer skills preferred

Nice To Haves

Vocational school education in Automotive preferred
Welding/Fabrication & Industrial Mechanic (millwright) skills preferred
Welding/Fabrication skills preferred

Responsibilities

Service and maintain fleet vehicles
