About The Position

Heimes Corporation is seeking qualified personnel to make repairs on equipment/vehicles and perform general maintenance for the 2nd shift (3 PM - Midnight). Heimes Corporation is a construction company based out of Omaha, Nebraska, providing a wide range of services including Excavating, Underground Utilities, Recycled Concrete, Plumbing, Directional Drilling, Underground Storage Tanks, Wrecking, Transportation, and Hazardous Materials Cleanup/Hauling (ESI). The position is full-time or part-time, with negotiable hours and overtime. The primary responsibility for the 2nd shift team is to ensure trucks are ready for operation first thing in the morning, addressing repairs such as brakes, lights, electrical systems, mud flaps, side boards, and services. The foreman/manager is responsible for delegating work, managing a team of 1-4 employees at night, reporting issues to the shop manager, and performing repairs themselves.

Requirements

• Ability to work on a wide range of equipment/vehicles
• Experience with Ford, Kenworth, International, Western Star and many more DOT pickups/trucks/trailers
• Experience with CASE, CAT, John Deere & Komatsu equipment
• Experience with Excavators, Compactors, Dozers, Wheel Loaders, and other equipment
• Experience with Cummins, CAT, and Detroit engines
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must abide by DOT regulations
• Must speak and understand the English language

• Welding experience
• CDL

Responsibilities

• Make repairs on equipment/vehicles
• Perform general maintenance
• Ensure trucks are ready for operation first thing in the morning
• Address repairs including brakes, lights, electrical, mud flaps, side boards, services, and other miscellaneous repairs
• Delegate work and manage 1-4 other employees at night
• Report any issues to the shop manager
• Pick up wrenches and perform repairs themselves
