About The Position

Star Lanes Polaris is looking for motivated Pin Chasers / Mechanics to join our facility team! In this role, you'll work directly under our Head Mechanic to learn the ins and outs of maintaining and troubleshooting our modern QubicaAMF XLI Edge pinspotters, keeping our lanes running smoothly and ensuring our guests have an unbeatable experience. Whether you're an experienced Lane Technician or someone just mechanically inclined looking to break into the industry, we will train the right person!

Requirements

• A basic comfort with hand tools, power tools, and a general understanding of mechanical systems (no prior bowling experience required- we will train you!).
• Ability to stay calm under pressure, think on your feet, and resolve equipment issues quickly during busy shifts.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and navigate the pinsetter areas comfortably throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

• Clear lane jams, maintain pinspotters during peak operating hours, and keep the pit and machine areas safe, clean, and organized.
• Assist the Head Mechanic with preventive maintenance, basic mechanical repairs, and routine servicing of our QubicaAMF XLI Edge.
• Monitor lane performance, assist with lane conditioning routines, and perform quick fixes to keep the bowling action going uninterrupted.
• Follow all safety guidelines, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and lock-out/tag-out procedures to ensure a safe workspace.
