Hillis-Carnes Specialty Construction Group is actively seeking a Mechanic for our Woodbine, MD office. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of drilling/construction equipment, light/heavy duty trucks, and basic hydraulics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to meet additional pre-employment criteria
• Required to lift heavy equipment and materials
• Need to be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR
• Proficient computer skills
• Basic hydraulic experience

Nice To Haves

• CDL class A or B is preferred but not required
• Excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance and repairs of fleet vehicles and drilling/construction equipment (both in the shop and out in the field)
• DOT inspections
• Fabrication
• Welding
• Obtaining price quotes from vendors
• Requesting purchase orders
• Ordering of parts and shop supplies
