About The Position

National Tank & Equipment is seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on pumps and other equipment. This role involves working both in the shop and in the field, acting as a liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction with rental equipment. The Mechanic will troubleshoot equipment to restore it to operational status, maintain professional relationships, and accurately complete service documentation. This position also requires coordinating with the team for parts and equipment logistics, promoting safety in all work, continuously expanding knowledge of company products, and maintaining a clean work environment. Additional tasks may be assigned by management.

Requirements

2 years’ experience as a Mechanic is required.
Must be mechanically inclined with mechanical background and knowledge of various motors and engines.
Must be able to travel locally and regionally.
Must have a valid state driver’s license with a moderately clean driving record.
Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

Performs maintenance and repairs of pumps and other equipment in both the shop and in the field.
Act as a liaison between customers, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment maintenance and repair.
Trouble shoot all rental equipment for most efficient way to get equipment back online.
Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers following the established company policies and procedures.
Produce all required service tickets and/or documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
Communicates with team for coordinating delivery and pickup of parts, equipment, and accessories.
Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work is done in the safest manner.
Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities
Maintain a clean work environment.
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
