About The Position

Conagra Brands is seeking a Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant and production equipment. This role involves inspecting machines, identifying problems, and making necessary repairs to ensure smooth production operations. The Mechanic will utilize manuals and diagrams to diagnose issues and employ various tools for repairs, including performing electrical and pneumatic work. Welding, electrical, and fabrication experience are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
2 years progressive mechanic experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Vocational tech training in machine maintenance
Carry and push/pull up to 100 pounds
Read and write English for completion of production/quality documents.
Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages
Familiar with and ability to use basic shop equipment, electric arc welder, plasma cutter, torch and basic hand tools
Electrical experience

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and test parts/components on plant & production equipment
Keep mechanical equipment in good condition and working order
Inspect machines and equipment to locate problems, replace defective parts, and make necessary adjustments to ensure production operation
Use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant and production equipment
Use hand and power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and test parts/equipment on plant and production equipment
Perform electrical and pneumatic work on production machines
Welding, electrical and fabrication experience
