About The Position

The Mechanic position involves performing maintenance and repairs on pumps and other equipment, both in the shop and in the field. This role requires acting as a liaison between customers and various branch departments to ensure customer satisfaction regarding rental equipment maintenance and repair. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting rental equipment to restore functionality efficiently, maintaining professional and ethical business relationships, accurately producing all necessary service tickets and documentation in a timely manner, and coordinating with the team for parts, equipment, and accessories. The Mechanic is also expected to be a safety ambassador, continuously grow their knowledge of company products and inventory, and maintain a clean work environment. Other tasks may be assigned by Management.

Requirements

2 years’ experience as a Mechanic is required.
Must be mechanically inclined with mechanical background and knowledge of various motors and engines.
Must be able to travel locally and regionally.
Must have a valid state driver’s license with a moderately clean driving record.
Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

Performs maintenance and repairs of pumps and other equipment in both the shop and in the field.
Act as a liaison between customers, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment maintenance and repair.
Trouble shoot all rental equipment for most efficient way to get equipment back online.
Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers following the established company policies and procedures.
Produce all required service tickets and/or documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
Communicates with team for coordinating delivery and pickup of parts, equipment, and accessories.
Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work is done in the safest manner.
Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities
Maintain a clean work environment.
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
