Requirements
- Experience on heavy trucks, trailers, etc. (diagnostic testing, hydraulics, brakes, diesel engine, etc.)
- Welding Experience.
- Ability to repair/diagnose all trailer/chassis/container components
- 1-3 years of Light/Medium/Heavy mechanic experience.
- Able to work in varying weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services - AC Repair, Air Brakes, Hydraulics, etc.
- Perform mobile repair on trucks and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
- Replacing lights
- Tire replacement (mounted inventory)
- Preventative maintenance / running repair / brakes / suspension
