Position Summary The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing forklifts and other warehouse equipment at customer locations. This role requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3+ years of forklift mechanic experience, including electric, IC, and propane units  OR 3+ years of related mechanic experience (automotive, diesel, or small equipment)
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills
  • Ability to use voltmeters, ohm meters, and read electrical schematics
  • Must own basic hand tools (company provides specialty tools and equipment)
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs
  • Pre-employment screening and physical required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with brands such as Crown, Unicarrier, Yale, Hyster, Toyota, or Raymond preferred
  • Experience with masts, cylinders, and transmissions preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts and warehouse equipment
  • Service electric, internal combustion, and propane-powered equipment
  • Complete all required service documentation electronically within designated timeframes
  • Maintain inventory of tools and parts
  • Coordinate with the Parts team to ensure correct parts and documentation are available
  • Coordinate closely with Service Coordinators to optimize daily schedules, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate work orders, and the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
  • Perform all duties safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner
