Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in truck repairs, diesel mechanics, hydraulics, welding, electrical record keeping, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Must be able to multi-task & have the ability to develop effective working relationships with vendors & suppliers.
• Must be able to analyze facts and determine action using a range of procedures within limits of standard practice.
• Good communication skills and some computer skills required to utilize online PM programs as well as computer diesel, hydraulic and or electrical program

Nice To Haves

• Prefer AAS (technical degree) and/or technical certification in Truck Repair, Welding, Hydraulics, and Electrical & Diesel Mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and conduct preventive maintenance on all facility equipment.
• Inspect and conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment
• May maintain facility equipment, on or off site including but not limited to: Cranes, Forklifts, Loaders, Non-ferrous Shear, Skid Steer, Sorting Lines, Shredders, Trucks, Trailers, Wire Striper
• Prepare & maintain all maintenance records
• Organize and maintain cleanliness of Maintenance Department
• You will be involved in variety of other responsibilities including ordering parts, welding, and fabricating, minor electrical repairs
