In this hands-on role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of commercial lawn care, janitorial, and agency equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial lawn equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Working knowledge of engines, tools, and equipment repair methods.
Experience using hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Capability to safely operate small gas- and electric-powered equipment.
Strong communication skills.
Strong documentation skills.
Basic computer skills.
Valid Virginia driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, climbing, pushing, and pulling in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment, including commercial lawn mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, and related machinery.
Diagnose mechanical issues, disassemble engines, inspect components, and repair or replace parts such as bearings, valves, pistons, pumps, and crankshafts.
Test equipment performance.
Maintain accurate maintenance records.
Manage spare parts inventory.
Repair janitorial equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on agency vehicles.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Support SOAR365's mission and values.
Work effectively with employees, volunteers, and interns to foster a positive and productive workplace.
