About The Position

This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical defects and failures in a variety of golf course maintenance equipment, including diesel, electric, and gasoline-powered vehicles and machinery. The position also requires maintaining detailed records of equipment, parts, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities extend to ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and County codes and regulations related to construction, repair, installation, fire safety, sanitation, and waste management. The role includes training and equipping engineering personnel, maintaining and servicing HVAC equipment, and performing electrical and mechanical work independently. Additionally, the position requires participation in emergency response drills, knowledge of facility layout and systems, routine rounds to identify operational issues, and maintaining adequate inventory for job assignments. A critical aspect is the immediate reporting of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activities to the IGC Agent, Security, and Supervisor on Duty, in accordance with the company's Self-Reporting Policy. Miscellaneous duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Extensive mechanical background (hands on experience working on engines, compressors, etc.).
  • Electrical experience.
  • Ability to follow orders.
  • Ability to work well and communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to understand/comply with departmental, company and government agency regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding and Burning experience preferred.
  • Plant or Vessel Maintained experience preferred.
  • HVAC/Refrigeration experience preferred.
  • Past mechanical and electrical experience in a military, merchant marine or plant operations setting.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Trade school or related education preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality business or casino operations preferred.
  • Possess one of the following preferred qualifications: USCG QMED Certification, Certified Welder, Universal Refrigerant License, Electrician Certification or Diesel Engine Maintenance Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects/failures of golf course maintenance equipment (diesel, electric, gasoline-powered automobiles, trucks, trenchers, sweepers, rollers, mowers, and other mechanical equipment).
  • Keep a complete set of records for equipment and parts inventory purchases, equipment conditions, costs of repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Apply Federal, State and County codes and regulations in the performance and/or supervision of construction, repair, installation, fire safety, sanitation and waste management functions.
  • Assist in properly training, ensuring proficiency skills are met, and equipping engineering personnel.
  • Maintain and service all HVAC equipment at a level necessary for proper operation.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical work including troubleshooting, installations and repair.
  • Participate in emergency response drills.
  • Make routine rounds of engine room, facility and casino spaces notifying management of any unusual operating conditions.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory to adequately complete job assignments.
  • Immediately inform on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
