About The Position

United Land Services (ULS) is a full-service landscaping company offering a comprehensive suite of commercial landscape installation and maintenance services. Our expertise spans landscape design, irrigation systems, hardscapes, and outdoor lighting. We cater to a diverse clientele, including single-family home developments, condominium complexes, commercial buildings, and shopping centers. We are seeking a Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing and executing maintenance and repairs on our diverse fleet of diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment.

Requirements

3 - 5 years of experience as a diesel and gas mechanic, with a focus on fleet maintenance.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with fuel systems, transmissions, brake systems, wheel bearings, undercarriage, and engine performance.
Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions.
Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and advanced maintenance and repairs on a wide range of diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues in engines, fuel systems, transmissions, brake systems, wheel bearings, undercarriages, and engine performance.
Ensure all vehicles and equipment are in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
Oversee the completion of preventative maintenance tasks to avoid costly repairs and extend vehicle lifespan.
Manage inventory for parts and tools necessary for repairs and maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities in accordance with company policies.
Complete service work orders through Aspire, ensuring all tasks are documented, tracked, and closed out in the system.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures to improve fleet reliability.
Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and efficient repair turnaround for vehicles and equipment.
Perform emergency repairs when needed to ensure the fleet remains operational at all times.
