Position Summary: Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in order to maintain serviceability and reliability of equipment. Performs mechanical repairs, service, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on facility and production systems. Maintains, repairs and installs hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Efficiently completes all set-ups of equipment. Reads and follows blueprints and schematic drawings Keeps lines operating properly during the course of production runs. Supports new line and equipment installations, equipment upgrades, and other major projects. Installs new facility equipment from blueprints, sketches, etc. Repairs change parts as prescribed. Looks for opportunities to improve operations. Researches parts/supplies appropriateness for applications. Ensures that areas are secure prior to evacuation. Responsible and accountable for the daily execution of schedule. Continually reviews and coordinates the status of current and pending work. Ensures that preventative maintenance is executed according to prescribed procedures and specifications. Supports the accuracy and completion of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Generates reports on request. Keeps accurate records of time and material chargeable to each separate job. Trains other associates as needed. Follows safety policies and maintains good housekeeping in work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity with good eye-hand coordination
  • Must be able to read blueprints and sketches.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to handle pressure and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and take initiative on specific issues.
  • Able to prioritize handling of situations.
  • Must have a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer one to two years of related mechanical experience.
