About The Position

You will be responsible for maintaining garage inventory, ordering parts and tools, and repairing vehicles belonging to the co-op, members, or external customers. You will also provide training to local mechanics.

Requirements

• Vocational diploma in mechanics or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Ability to communicate in French and English, both verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
• Autonomous and versatile

Nice To Haves

• Vehicle mechanics certification (an asset)

Responsibilities

• Maintain co-op and FCNQ vehicles in good working order by performing preventive and regular maintenance and recording all work in their service logs
• Manage and use warranties for all FCNQ and co-op equipment
• Evaluate service requests from co-op members or external customers, schedule and complete repairs
• Order, using the GDD system, all parts, supplies, and tools required to complete repairs and maintain the garage in good working order
• Ensure equipment complies with provincial vehicle requirements and safety regulations
• Maintain the garage in good working order by cleaning, organizing, and removing obsolete or defective equipment and parts
• Maintain and update technical knowledge by participating in training opportunities, reading technical publications, and attending FCNQ-sponsored training sessions
• Perform any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor or required to support co-ops and other departments
