About The Position

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) Cabot offers utility and pipeline equipment, including aerial devices, digger derricks, material handlers, pole trailers, and more. Our clients include some of the largest utilities, telecom, construction, forestry, oil, and rail companies in the nation. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform vehicle troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance work on chassis and track-mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, high rail, and other equipment, in accordance with dealer and factory standards, in the field.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Related experience (Shop Tech).
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment (construction, farm, military).
  • General mechanical aptitude / knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm, or truck.
  • Basic Computer skills and ability to document repair activity.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.
  • Electrical, schematic/blueprints, hydraulic, welding, and related experience.
  • Experience with Quick Serve, DTNA, or related diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PMs, maintenance, and repair on truck-mounted utility equipment such as Boom, Bucket, Diggers, Dump, Service, Forestry and aerial cranes and other truck-mounted equipment.
  • Work on truck chassis, diesel, hydraulics, diagnostics, and electrical systems.
  • Assess, diagnose, repair, and/or replace damaged/worn parts on a variety of vocational/utility trucks & equipment.
  • Provide repair and maintenance to medium/heavy duty trucks.
  • Assess, diagnose, repair, and/or replace damaged or worn parts for a variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services, and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
  • Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
  • Other duties as assigned.
