The schedule will be Monday through Friday with a flexible start time between 5 am to 7 am and work an 8 1/2 hour day.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Previous experience with trailer repair and maintenance strongly preferred
- MIG welding experience required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with DOT standards and preventive maintenance procedures
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-inspections on all equipment to ensure road readiness
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and trailers (primarily end-dump)
- Perform light maintenance and repairs on yard equipment
- Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Perform welding and metal fabrication (MIG welding preferred)
- Maintain accurate records and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Perform preventive maintenance in compliance with DOT standards
- Collaborate with the Transportation Department to meet fleet demands
