About The Position

Now hiring Mechanics in our Modesto, CA plant! This role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems to ensure smooth production line operations. You will operate and maintain industrial can making machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, using precision measuring tools to work within tight tolerances. The position also requires monitoring product quality and production efficiency, utilizing mechanical manuals and diagrams for troubleshooting, and operating forklifts safely when needed. You will also contribute improvement ideas for the work area, safety, quality, cost control, and productivity.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Willingness to operate and maintain Silgan's can lines by performing and documenting quality checks.
