About The Position

Buddy Moore Trucking is seeking a Mechanic / Shop Worker to perform basic preventative maintenance on trucks, including oil, fluid, and tire changes. This role may also involve assisting experienced mechanics with repairs. The position requires the ability to perform day-to-day physical tasks involving moderately demanding work, such as standing, kneeling, crawling, turning, and lifting moderately heavy objects.

Requirements

Ability to perform day-to-day physical tasks involving moderately demanding work including: standing, kneeling, crawling, turning, and pushing or lifting moderately heavy objects.
Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
Reliable transportation.
Drug and alcohol free.
High work ethic.
Willingness to be taught and follow directions.

A basic need of tools and knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform basic preventative maintenance on trucks (oil, fluid, and tire changes).
Assist experienced mechanics with repairs.
Pick up parts as needed.
Maintain an organized, neat, and safe workplace.
Keep work stations clean and organized daily.
Demonstrate focus and attention to detail.
Work independently and with a team with minimal supervision.
Show up to work on time every day.
Perform other duties as assigned.
